What is the difference between a ZIP site and a regular site?

The content management we provide ZIP customers is very similar to what we offer our custom web development customers.

The real difference (which isn't apparent to the people who visit your site) is that ZIP sites do not have unique designs. ZIP customers must choose a design from our gallery, and simply allow us to personalize it. ZIP sites all leverage the same set of technology, rather than having unique underlying technologies. ZIP sites therefore all function similarly. While they are very flexible, they cannot be individually adapted to handle unique cases.
