Design #612 Overview

This month we wanted to create a simple and elegant ZIP site design that would be perfect for any project. With Design #706, we combined speed and simplicity, with some of the most powerful configuration options and custom modules we have ever offered in a ZIP site to date!

Design #706 presents a unique design that has the 4 major elements of the site design separated so they can be independantly configured, giving you the ability to mix and match the colors of the site and create over 900 possible color configurations. And colors are only the beginning! The amazing MooMenu makes its return, and is joined by three amazing new exclusive modules that will take your site to the next level.

Over 900 color combinations, animated sliding tab content, an all new Mootools Latest module, zooming Slimbox popups, and more --- whats not to love!

• The Amazing MooMenu System
  

Making its return this month is the immensely popular MooMenu. This menu has been developed from scratch using the latest and greatest MooTools JavaScript framework.

The MooMenu is a highly advanced and fully customizable menu system. It features suckerfish style dropdowns with programmable transition effects for an added bit of flair. It is accessible and degrades to a standard SuckerFish menu if JavaScript is not enabled or supported. Some of the great features include:

• Hover support for IE6 using the sfHover javascript class just like in Suckerfish.
• Fully degradable to standard SuckerFish menu if javascript is not supported.
• Configurable mouse-out delay to allow for accidental mousing out of the menu.
• Completely customizable animation effects using MooTools transitions. Can be configured in X and/or Y directions.
• Support for fade-in transparency
• Experimental support for IE6 z-index bug using the iFrame hack.

MooMenu is the default offering for this ZIP site, but we've also included the SplitMenu option.

• Custom Modules

Continuing the tradition of special custom modules, this month features some exciting new modules that will blow your mind!

NEW Slide Module

The Design #706 Slide module with custom animation effects is a powerful tab system which loads content items and displays them in a professional manor.
There are various options that you can customize to your needs including:

• Category which defines the category that content items are loaded from, such as Newsflash or Latest News.
• Width and Height settings allow you to change the dimensions of the tabs to your individual needs
• You also have the options to show images, read more links in conjuction with settings to limit the number of items and load the mootools library if not already present.

NEW Slimbox Zoom Integration Module

Slimbox is a faster leaner alternative to LightBox 2.0 utilizing a highly optimized and compressed version of the mootools javascript library. This month we've included a new GalleryZoom module that takes this Slimbox functionality to a whole new level featuring zooming transitions.

NEW Latest News Module

This highly popular module has been updated and incorporated into Design #706. The Latest News module is a mootools driven, sliding news module. The module adds a dynamic presence to previewing content on your frontpage.

The module itself has a large array of configurable options at its disposal.

• Color of the slider background and separator;
• Preview length (amount of words extracted from content items)
• Categories/sections where the contents are loaded from.
• The module is packed with plenty more options which are easily changed.

• Lots of Great Typography

Design #706 offers a plethora of great typographical styles to help your content look great without even trying! Check out the great notice styles to allow you to provide great visual focus for your users.
